Porque el ayuno no es solo negarse comida, sino morir al pecado y vivir para Cristo. Muchos siguen cargando lo viejo mientras piden lo nuevo. Oramos para dejar atrás lo que no refleja a Jesús y vestirnos con Su verdad, pureza y amor. Este clamor es por una Iglesia que no solo crea en la nueva vida, sino que camine en ella—como hijos resucitados, libres y escondidos en Él.
Señor, en este undécimo día de ayuno te damos gracias porque nos estás haciendo nuevos. Aun en lo que seguimos esperando, elegimos alabarte con fe. Hoy rendimos lo viejo y ponemos nuestra mente en lo que es de arriba. Declaramos que nuestra vida está escondida en Cristo. Renunciamos a lo que no te agrada y recibimos la vida nueva que Tú nos das. Vístennos con Tu verdad, Tu pureza y Tu amor. Enséñanos a caminar cada día como nuevas criaturas en Ti.
Romanos 6:5-7
'En efecto, si hemos estado unidos con él en una muerte como la suya, sin duda también estaremos unidos con él en su resurrección. Sabemos que nuestra vieja naturaleza fue crucificada con él para que nuestro cuerpo pecaminoso perdiera su poder, de modo que ya no siguiéramos siendo esclavos del pecado; porque el que muere queda liberado del pecado. '
Colosenses 3:1-4
'Ya que han resucitado con Cristo, busquen las cosas de arriba, donde está Cristo sentado a la derecha de Dios. Concentren su atención en las cosas de arriba, no en las de la tierra, pues ustedes han muerto y su vida está escondida con Cristo en Dios. Cuando Cristo, que es la vida de ustedes, se manifieste, entonces también ustedes serán manifestados con él en gloria. '
Joel 2:12-13
'«Ahora bien», afirma el Señor , «vuélvanse a mí de todo corazón, con ayuno, llantos y lamentos». Rásguense el corazón y no las vestiduras. Vuélvanse al Señor su Dios, porque él es misericordioso y compasivo, lento para la ira y lleno de amor, cambia de parecer y no castiga. '
Because fasting isn’t just about denying food—it’s about dying to sin and living for Christ. Many are still holding onto the old while asking for the new. We pray to leave behind what doesn’t reflect Jesus and to clothe ourselves with His truth, purity, and love. This cry is for a Church that doesn’t just believe in new life—but walks in it—as resurrected children, free and hidden in Him.
Lord, on this eleventh day of fasting, we thank You because You are making us new. Even in the areas where we are still waiting, we choose to praise You in faith. Today we lay down the old and set our minds on things above. We declare that our lives are hidden with Christ. We put away what does not honor You and receive the new life You have given us. Clothe us with Your truth, Your purity, and Your love. Teach us to walk each day as new creations in You.
Romans 6:5-7
'For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his. For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin— because anyone who has died has been set free from sin. '
Colossians 3:1-4
'Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. '
Joel 2:12-13
'“Even now,” declares the Lord , “return to me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning.” Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the Lord your God, for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and he relents from sending calamity. '
