The Boko Haram Islamic extremist group and militant Fulani Muslims both attack Christians throughout northern Nigeria. We pray this because, as believers, we are one body in Christ (1 Corinthians 12:26). When one member suffers, we all suffer with it. We are also called to remember and intercede for those who are persecuted (Hebrews 13:3), trusting that God will bring comfort, justice, and transformation.
Lord, we lift up persecuted Christians in Nigeria. Comfort those who are grieving, protect Your people, and bring an end to the violence. Watch over and protect pastors and other ministers who carry the gospel. We ask that You would meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of those who suffer at the hands of Boko Haram (an Islamist extremist group). Lord, transform the hearts of those who persecute—may they have an encounter with You.

He will judge between the nations and will settle disputes for many peoples. They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore.
